A clever on-board computer which is voice controlled, known as Ford Sync 2, can navigate drivers through busy roads, find local bars and cafes and turn on the driving-seat massage system – all on demand.
Ford has also developed a system that uses a forward-looking camera to detect if drivers unintentionally drift out of their lane, automatically steering the wheel so the car returns safely back within the white line of the road.
